    1. can take everything out of the hair…Wrong! Anything you apply to the hair is only an aid in head lice removal. There is no substitute for knowing what you are looking for and taking the time to do it right. Head lice don’t jump or fly. They don’t have hind legs or wings so this theory is anatomicly impossible. Head lice change color, much like a comeelion, depending on their environment. If you or your child has blonde hair – chances are they will be almost that color. If you or your child have black hair the bug will be much darker. The only thing lice can’t camaflouge is their intestional tract. A nit varies in color also. When the nit is newly hatched or dead it is white. The problem is that you must look under a microscope to tell the difference. As the baby bug grows inside of the nit it fills up the casing untill it is almost black before hatching. Hair die will not kill nits, nothing does. I have actually seen newly died head lice eggs. they are the same color as the die, making them harder to find, and they are still alive. tea tree is a preventative. A better one is a good mint based shampoo. Perferably rose mary mint. Mint is a non toxic pesticide. Head lice finds the smell offensive so the stronger the better, and contact with an adult louse can kill it. putting conditioner helps to get head lice out by immobelizing the bug and aiding in the ability of the lice comb to get through the hair. there is soooo much more.
